The supplier believes in being a sustainable and environmentally-responsible company. Their strategy is to be leading the industry in these areas:
• To run the most environmentally-friendly motor homes, campervans, and operations in the market
• To encourage customers to behave in a way that leaves the environment cleaner than when they arrived – and facilitate this behaviour
• To empower their staff to embrace environmentally friendly practices in both their personal and working lives
Since inception 15 years ago, the supplier has always been at the forefront of good environmental initiatives with self-containment practices in the fleet and the early use of solar panels. In 2006 the supplier identified the importance of this issue and have worked hard to measure and improve their operations from an environmental point of view. Their position of “best in category” has also been a driving force to be a leader for sustainable environmental practices.
Achievements in Australia to date include:
1. Fully self-contained campervans and motorhomes – in accordance with the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia (CMCA)’s Leave No Trace scheme for shower and toilet models
2. Dump Station sponsorship – sponsorship of the CMCA dump station programme since 2004 to encourage responsible camping and help protect the environment
3. Euro 4 turbo-diesel vehicles – the entire fleet is manufactured with these diesel vehicles which are considerably more efficient than petrol, with a maximum age of 30 months
4. Solar panels – in all motorhomes and campervans to reduce electricity used by panels charging the in-house batteries
5. Water filters – featured in all motorhomes, campervans and 4WD off-road campers to reduce the need for purchasing bottled water (estimated to save approx. 150,000 plastic drink bottles per year)
6. Sustainably sourced plywood with alkorcell coating – all vehicles manufactured using environmentally-friendly alkorcell-coated and sustainably sourced plywood to reduce the weight of campers and fuel use, deforestation, and use of harmful toxins
7. Wind tunnel testing – on vehicle designs to reduce aerodynamic drag
8. Reusable shopping bag – provided at pick up to reduce use of plastic shopping bags
9. Responsible disposal – of tyres, oil filters and office computers
10. Providing jobs locally – they assemble their campervans in Sydney.

Enviro Campers Australia insurance Standard Liability
All vehicles are insured for the damage to the vehicle or to the property of a Third Party. The hirer is responsible for the first AUD 7,500 of the cost of damage to the rented vehicle including windscreen, tyre damage, overhead, under-body, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break-in or vandalism. The hirer will also be fully liable for demurrage i.e. the daily rental rate for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs - max 7 days.
The security deposit can be paid by cash, traveller’s cheques and credit card (see paragraph Important: “Security deposit payments by Credit Card”). The security deposit is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date in a clean and tidy condition with no damage incurred to the vehicle, with a full tank of Diesel (4WD dual tank), the toilet cassette and waste water tank emptied and no equipment lost or damaged.
In case of any damage to the vehicle or third party property a second security deposit might be collected to cover the excess for subsequent damages.
Important: Securlty Deposit Payments by Credit Card
If the hirer does not choose a Liability reduction option a security deposit of AUD 7,500 is taken. This security deposit is deducted from the customer’s credit card at the time of vehicle pickup. The supplier accepts Visa, MasterCard, Diners and AMEX. When the vehicle is returned to the supplier undamaged and no Third Party damage occurred, the security deposit is fully refunded. Like other currencies, the Australian Dollar does fluctuate and there could be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged. The supplier does not accept liability for variances up or down.
Liability Reduction Option To AUD NIL(Gold Cover)
The Liability can be waived for AUD 42 (AUD 47 for 4WD vehicle) per day. The cost is limited to a maximum of 50 days or AUD 2,100 (AUD 2,350 for 4WD).
An AUD NIL liability applies for any vehicle damage, demurrage, cost replacing or repairing windscreens, tyres, overhead and under-body as well as single accident damage. A security deposit of AUD 500 is payable by an open signed credit card imprint with an authorisation obtained (sufficient funds must be available) for AUD 500 at the time of vehicle pickup. The security deposit is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date in clean condition with a full tank of Diesel (4WD dual tank), the toilet cassette and waste water tank emptied and no equipment lost or damaged.

The All Inclusive Package includes:
Liability Reduction to AUD 0 (NIL)
One-way fee (excl. AUD 750 Broome surcharge)
Deluxe Camping equipment - table and chairs (depending on number of people travelling)
Multilingual GPS navigation system
Baby/Child or Booster seats (on request) – suitable for models 4-5 ST and 6 ST only

Responsibilities of the Hirer
The hirer is at all times fully liable for:
1. Damage to the vehicle or third party property if the terms of the rental agreement are breached
2. Damage caused by careless, wilful or reckless driving incl. speeding
3. Damage is caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
4. Damage caused due to single vehicle roll over (4WD only)
4. Damage caused by driving on restricted roads
5. Damage to or loss of any personal belongings.
6. Damage caused by part or total fresh or saltwater submersion (creek or river crossing, driving through flooded areas, beach driving etc.)
7. Damage caused by carrying more than maximum number of passengers as dictated by vehicle type
8. Damage caused by drivers not identified on the rental agreement and/or drivers whose licence has been cancelled or suspended and/or drivers who have a licence that is classified as a learners or Probationary Licence
9. Costs associated with the incorrect use of fuel or water or other contamination of fuel
10. Costs to retrieve or recover vehicle that has become bogged, submerged or abandoned, including any damage caused at time of recovery
11. Costs to replace keys that have been lost or damaged or retrieval of keys that are locked in the vehicle
12. Repairs made to the vehicle without the supplier’s permission
In the instances of a manual vehicle being hired, the driver must be a competent and an experienced operator of manual vehicles. |
